The garden is short and wide, to create the garden Craig designed the garden at an angle of 45o to the house.
The technical reason for creating gardens at an angle is it tricks the eye to make the garden feel longer or wider as the eye looks down the lines.
For Craig the best reason is they create more interesting shapes and spaces to place terraces, features, planting and focal points.
The terraces are created from sawn and honed sandstone in a beautiful gentle tones of peach and apricot. The paving borders a lush lawn area leading to a softwood decking that hangs over a natural pond.
Lush planting picked for being loved by bees and butterflies inter mingle with features like a Hibernacula and Bug Box Hotel.
